Turpentine continues to keep me busy. The book tour is over but I am still visiting book clubs and giving readings. Louis and I have even appeared together several times in 'Buffalo Bill meets Turpentine' events.

* Turpentine was chosen as one of San Francisco Chronicle Notable Books of 2007

* Turpentine has won a bronze medal in ForeWord Magazine's Book of the Year Competition for Historic Fiction.

* Turpentine has been nominated for the High Plains Book Award.

* The New York Center for Independent Publishing has listed Turpentine as a recommended title

* Turpentine is a finalist for the Western Writers of America Spur Award

Grove Atlantic is putting out a second edition of, you guessed it, Turpentine! The new edition will include a Reading Group Guide.

Book Club Kits!

I have designed a kit to facilitate book club discussions involving Turpentine. It includes suggested discussion questions, Turpentine inspired recipes, information about real life historical characters who may be familiar to readers of Turpentine, and finally a fun quiz to test your knowledge of mid to late 19th century trivia.
